Releases, Subscriber management and votes

Release feature is available for Release pages and Widgets; thus, this documentation isslustrates the images for both features randomly. Releases feature works in same manner for both Release pages & Widgets.

Create Releases

Once the release page or widget is configured, you are all set to publish your releases using manual or automated triggers. Executing the ‘Widget action’ or ‘Release page action’ within rules means creating releases. So, upon every execution of an action, it adds a new release. This is the structure of these relationships -

  1. One release page/widget will include multiple releases

  2. Each release can consist of one or more issues

Know more about the release page &’s related information and its reactions are displayed.

View release

This is how the release pages & widgets are listed, along with the corresponding number of releases. One can click on ‘x Releases’ (5 releases here) link & it will reveal each of the releases within that release page/widget.

Release Page Subscriber management

The Subscription feature is specifically designed for the Release pages feature, making this section relevant solely to that context.

Your stakeholders can subscribe to release pages if the Subscription feature is enabled. You can also enable the subscriber notifications so subscribers get an email notification when a new release is published on the release page. Below are some actions available to manage your release page subscribers -

Add subscriber

You can also manually add new subscribers using the add subscriber button. Once the subscriber is added, stakeholder gets an email to confirm the subscibtion, if they confirm the status is shown as subscriber otherwise it remains as invited.
